Is this the real life? Is this just fantasy?
We all know the opening lines to Queen’s epic Bohemian Rhapsody but have we ever considered what Freddie Mercury was actually getting at when he wrote them?
And what about the two options he puts forward… is this the real life? Or on the other hand… is this just fantasy?
From the Vedic perspective… both answers are right. You see, everything we see out there…is a model from what’s going on in there (that is.. in our mind) so what we see is our “real life” but by the same token… only we see what we see and therefore, to anyone else, what “we” are seeing… would seem to be just fantasy to anyone else.
So…if our “real life” is also “just fantasy” and it’s all entirely a construct of our brain… what can we do to change our reality… and not be “caught in a landslide” (because here, it seems that Freddie is now talking about being overwhelmed with thoughts)… well from the Vedic perspective… the answer to this is simple.
Meditate.
Twice a day.
Vedic meditation done regularly (20 minutes twice a day is the prescribed tried and proven recommended amount) will each day, clear away the stress that is the landslide Freddie feels so overwhelmed by and each day make the reality within which you live, better and better, more and more clear. Yes… it will still be a fantasy… but now a very enjoyable one.
